    What to Expect in Licensed Practical Nurse program?

    LPN is a Licensed Practical Nurse who performs various functions and is a very important helper of the community. There are different Licensed Practical Nurse Programs which are uniquely designed and intended to carry out treatment plans for illness and injuries for patients. Some of these programs are E-online programs that can be comfortably undertaken while staying at home. These online LPN Programs are conducted by lots of universities, schools and colleges.

    LPN programs can give Diploma, certificate and degree. It is important for a student to understand its requirementsand expectations from LPN program. Although for a licensed practical nurse holding a college degree is not important but getting a training is important from a registered school.

    Features of LPN courses are:

    • To provide an introduction to client care module, which means that during the program students will get a knowledge of basics related to post and pre-surgical nursing care. It will also provide guidelines on anatomy, physiology, pharmacology and nutrition.
    • To offer knowledge on advanced patient care in field of pediatrics, obstetrics and mental health associated with clinical work.
    • Providing clients care in relation with health care deviations I and II. This course will involve aspects of clinical work and will cover nursing intercession, also treating patients of different disorders with psychosocial approach.
    • Generally, LPN programs cover most of the basic medical topics, but it also provides better experience in a clinical setting in management care, safety and control of infections.

    Step Ahead of Licensed Practical Nurse Program (Degree/certification)

    Associate degree program is consists of courses not only in anatomy, nursing and nutrition but also in pharmacy and micro biology. This course normally takes 2-3 years to complete but if one takes this course after completing LPN program then this degree course will take lesser time.

    Bachelor degree Program can be initiated after being an LPN. It is one step ahead of LPN. This course takes 3 years for completion, and also focus on nursing program with better leadership skills.

    LPN prepares its students to be sympathetic, specialized and valuable health care provider, as they provide high quality of Nursing care in field of medicine, pediatrics, community, mental health and many more.
