Most of the accidents occur when the pedestrians cross the road. So, the drivers and the pedestrians should be serious when they are on the road.

After an accident, the drivers should follow some steps.

The Driver Must Help the Injured Pedestrian

The driver must assist the persons after hitting him or her. It may be possible that the individual is severely wounded, but the driver should rescue the person from the spot. It possible then should try to treat him on the spot and should ask him about the physical problems. If possible then must call an ambulance and can send the patient to the hospital.

    Inform the Police

The driver must tell the cops about the incident, and it is important. The police can take all the necessary steps to help the injured person and clear the road. The cops can send the injured person to the hospital.

They may ask the driver and the injured person some questions to know the actual cause of the accident. The driver must tell the truth, otherwise, may face severe problem in future.

Collect the Information of the Pedestrian

The driver must obtain the information about the injured person including the phone number, address, etc. and should give his or her own mobile numbers and the address to the wounded person. It is important.

    Inform the Insurance Company

The driver must inform the insurance company about the incident as soon as possible. The members of the company may enquire about the incident and can discuss with the police before paying compensation. The driver should provide the right information to the insurance company.

Remember one thing, and the insurance company will not pay quickly to the injured person. They also follow some steps before paying compensation.

    Is This Driver’s Fault?

The insurance company will enquire the incident, and they have some specialist persons, who help the company. If they company finds that the accident has happened because of the carelessness of the pedestrian, then the insurance company will deny paying the pedestrian.

If the driver thinks that he or she has no fault then can consult with Accident Lawyers LA for better advice and help. Other side, if the injured person feels he or she has not fault, but the insurance is denying paying the compensation then also can hire a lawyer.

Hope, think the article will help the drivers to know the steps after an accident. It is also right that if the drivers drive the vehicles properly, then the incident will decrease shortly. However, the pedestrians have some duties, and they should walk carefully while crossing the road.
